
Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri CON, has granted pardon to six inmates serving various prison sentences in some correctional facilities in the State.
The pardon was granted by the Governor, in exercising the prerogative of Mercy in commemoration of Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary celebration.
In a statement, by Governor Fintiri’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, the Governor, noted that the inmates had demonstrated significant improvement in their behavior and conduct, hence the pardon.
The Governor ordered their immediate discharge and also directed relevant authorities to give immediate effect to the order.
Those discharged include Wamari Godwin and Abraham Marksunil from the Medium Security Custodial Centre Mubi and David Paul from Numan Custodial Centre.
Others are Ibrahim Adamu released from Satellite custodial facility Maiha, Usman Inuwa from the Yola medium custodial centre and Sani Yahaya released from the Satellite custodial facility Ganye.
