ADAMAWA FLASH FLOODING- GONGOLA PEOPLE’s FORUM COMMISERATES WITH VICTIMS, STATE
As commiserations continue to pour in, following the devastating flash flooding, which swiftly rocked parts of Yola, the Adamawa State capital before daybreak Sunday July 27, the Gongola Peoples Forum GPF, has expressed great sadness at the incident.
The GPF, in a statement by its National Chairman, Engineer Markus Natina Gundiri, commiserated with families of the victims.
It expressed deep grief, at the magnitude of loss of lives and destruction, wreaked at the Shagari low cost housing estate, Sabon Pegi, Modirre and environs as well as parts of Yolde Patti all in Yola.
The forum extended its heartfelt condolences on behalf of ethnic nationalities, to the families of the victims and the State for the unfortunate incident.
While reassuring Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, that GPF stands in solidarity with him, the forum prayed for speedy recovery for those affected and fortitude for those who lost loved ones.
GPF reaffirmed its commitment to supporting and providing relief to those affected by the disaster and called on all its worthy sons and daughters and friends alike, to rally round the State Government in this desperate time, to overcome the tragedy together.
