NIGERIA @65 ADAMAWA DEP.CHIEF WHIP HAMMAJABU CELEBRATES WITH CONSTITUENTS AT YADIM WATERFALLS.
Deputy Chief Whip of the 8th Adamawa Assembly and Member Verre Constituency, Japhet Hammajabu, commemorated Nigeria’s 65th independence, with a visit to his constituents at Yadim Waterfalls in Fufore Local Government.
The lawmaker, hopes the celebration at the waterfalls, would draw attention to an amazing site and its harnessing into a proper international tourist destination.

The State lawmaker, Japhet Hamma-jabu, was accompanied by distinguished guests including Director of tourism Adamawa state, former sole administrator Yadim state development area, Councilors, among others
Japheth Hammajabu San Turaki Fu’unange, the first serving member from the constituency, to visit Yadim waterfalls, a move showcasing his humility and commitment to nature and tourism.
Japhet Hammajabu, says the goal is to contribute to development as Yadim has really great potential.
“So I said okay, let me come and see it by myself, that’s why I brought them, from the National Museum.. We have come here with all relevant people we hope after this visit, Yadim waterfalls can be properly listed as a National tourist site, which would attract visitors”
Solomon Kevin, the councilor Yadim ward, stresses that, the area is indeed historical and needs preservation of such history.
“Youths have all trooped out, this place has an interesting historical sight, and this needs to be preserved and told and so that Fufore and Yadim ward is shown to the world”
Youth leader Elam Kevin, says the event which included mounting climbing among others, not only rallied the youths together, but also brought stakeholders together, to forge a collective thought process for the development of the area.
“in so many other places, events are held to unite people, but none in verre, so we decided to put this together, doing this has shown us that even our leaders can follow good ideas”
The event seeks to strengthen the bond of unity among young people and provide an opportunity to interact on plans for transforming the waterfall into a world-class tourist destination.
