
The National Universities Commission NUC, has begun verification and accreditation of degree programs at the College of Education COE Zing.
The visit follows approval by the Federal Ministry of Education for the college to run independent degree programs under a dual mandate.
The Provost of the College of Education Zing, Professor Ejika Sambo, says the institution is fully prepared for the accreditation of its degree programs.

He says the college has made significant investments in infrastructure and staff development to meet required standards.
Officials of the National Universities Commission are currently at the college to assess over twenty degree programs.
The team lead and Director of Academic Planning at the Commission, Abubakar Muhammad Girei, says the exercise is to ensure that all programs meet national academic standards.
Also speaking, Chairman of the Dual Mandate Implementation Committee, Abenatus Isaac, expressed optimism that most of the programs will secure accreditation.
Successful accreditation will pave the way for the college to fully commence its independent degree programs.
