SPORTS FESTIVAL PREPARATION
We are preparing for a successful outing, at the Forth-coming National Sports Festival.
Director Sports Adamawa State Sports Council, Daniel Ahmed, made this assertion, when he appeared on Usaku FM’s Good Morning Adamawa show, accompanied by some members of his technical team.

Director Daniel Ahmed, says Adamawa is one of only three states in Nigeria that was able to camp her athletes before the Zonal’ s in February, a move which produced results as Adamawa emerged the best in the North-East and the state would not drop the tempo, which has already produced results.
The Director adds that the Festival is an elite completion which requires elite preparation, hence Adamawa is leaving no stone unturned in its preparation.
Musa Baba Musa, from Kano, has been drafted in as head of Technical for Volleyball, he led Adamawa to secure a first place finish in Male volleyball and a second placed finish for the female category in the zonal qualifiers, he stresses that all grey areas are been worked on.
Saul Wiegopwa, is part of the coaching set up for athletics, he brings his wealth of experience having represented Nigeria at the Olympics in the 400 meters, he maintains that with the approach this time around, the state is expectant of medals.
While Adamawa is hopeful, it will compete against states like Edo and Delta, whose budget for sports for one year, is at least the budget for about 20 years for most Northern States.
